  • 2 cups of water

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 3 tablespoons of raw honey

  • 2 teaspoons or 5ml of Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 2 cups of water

  • Ice

  • Lemon slices for garnish, if desired


Instructions
  1. Place the ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, pepper, and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

  2. Place a colander or strainer over a medium heatproof bowl and strain the mixture.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix the lemon juice, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Add this mixture to the turmeric mix along with 2 cups of water. Let it cool to room temperature.

  4. Pour into a glass over ice and add optional lemon slices for decoration.

  5. The tonic can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
